The Star – Your Inner GPS

The Star Wild UnknownWhat does it mean to be a star?

A Star is someone who is deeply connected to their internal knowing. A star does not look for outside directions and approval. A true star knows her worth.

The Major Arcana of the Tarot (the cards numbered 0-21 ) can be seen as a journey. Each card leads to the next, in an archetypal process that can be seen as the template for the journey of life, or the cycles we inhabit as we travel this journey. The card before the Star is the Tower, an image of violent destruction. Once the dust has settled from that, we are asked to look up into the sky and find our North Star, our guiding star to help us move on in our journey.

The star represents our inner GPS. It is our truth, our desire, our inner knowing. We need to know what is true for ourselves so that we can rise from the rubble of the Tower to create something deeply authentic. The star is our guide.

It is time to embrace all the unique parts of you that have never “fit in”. It is time to call your real self home. Your true nature includes all the parts of you that were unacceptable to your parents, friends, society. We have all banished parts of ourselves that we can’t understand. This is a part of our power, and it needs to come home to us. The Star provides a beacon of light for all of our soul pieces to find their way back to us.

The star represents our future self. It is by focusing on the future that we are pulled out of our struggles with the past. If we align ourselves with a future that we are committed to creating, we will find ourselves freed from the heavy weight that we often carry around our “old stories” and emotional baggage from the past. The star calls us toward the new, better world we are desiring. She says yes, things will improve. Let go of your worries, fears and patterns of negative thinking. Trust that you will be whole once again. Don’t look back!

BLISS – Don’t Look Back

Don’t have to question, everything you feel
It’s in your heart, in your mind, in your soul
Not everything you want is what you need
Look inside, look inside and you’ll see
(Don’t look back) take it easy on yourself
(Don’t look back) don’t have to worry
(Don’t look back) take it easy on yourself this time
As we rise, we fall, fall to the ground
But get up, get up, on your feet
And if you look around there’s always someone there
Just look up, look up, to the skies
